Quickly becoming one of Niagara’s most grown grapes, Gamay does well in our climate and soil, and turned out to be a great addition to our portfolio in 2022. The wine was fermented in stainless steel on skins for 3 weeks, and pressed off into neutral oak barrels, both 228 and 500 L.
Great red colour, lots of red fruit with hint of spice. The palate continues the red fruit and adds some darker fruit licorice flavours as well. There is a creaminess on the mid-palate and a smooth dry finish.
Duck confit with cherry compote, barbequed burgers or vegetable kebabs.
