After a difficult winter in 2021, we weren’t sure how our young vines would fare. But 2022 brought warm, ideal conditions, with lower yields, but higher concentration in our fruit. This wine was fermented in 80% second fill French oak, and 20% stainless steel, to showcase a more Bordeaux than New Zealand style.
Pale lemon colour, lemon and brioche on the nose, subtle notes of caramel. Peach and yellow plum on the palate with a hint of spice and creaminess. Good acid
