Description/Winemakers Notes:
After a lower crop year, the vines bounced back and produced a beautiful crop in 2016. The summer was warm and dry and continued on into the fall to have excellent ripening potential. Chardonnay is such a versatile grape, and really developed rich textures and flavours during the growing season that are well suited to oak aging.
Tasting Notes:
Clear, pale straw colour. Soft buttery and biscuity scent with warm apple and lemon curd on the nose. Candied lemon and soft kiss of oak on the palate, with nutty notes on the finish and clean acidity.
Pairing Suggestions:
Pairs well with baked brie and crackers or onion tart.
